The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to commit the most horrific violations against women in Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, and in this regard, the Special Investigation Committee for Syria linked to the United Nations, in a report submitted to the Human Rights Organization, presented some of the attacks that have been documented from the killings, kidnappings and rape committed against women by Turkish mercenaries.
The continuation of its attacks on the regions of north and east Syria, and its occupation of Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, came in revenge for the defeat and forces of ISIS at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the pursuit of living on the basis of a democratic system based on equality between men and women and the achievement of brothers among the people of the region.
Bewin Youssef, a member of the Kongra Star coordination, says that the violations of the right of women in the occupied areas of northern and eastern Syria, including kidnapping, killing, rape, and their detention as hostages in exchange for paying ransom, and cases whose fate is still unknown are still going on clearly and openly before the eyes of all countries of the world by Turkish mercenaries, and they have trusted it. Human rights institutions for local autonomous administration.
Berwin Youssef explained that the goal of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from all these violations against women in Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Sipî, is to undermine the woman’s will and the democratic system that granted women the right to express their opinion and show themselves as an independent entity capable of managing themselves.
And she continued, “What the situation is witnessing at the present time in the occupied territories shows us the mentality that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries seek to establish in the minds of the people of the region, for example the building of religious institutions under the supervision of men only, as they try in these ways to block the role of women in society, weaken their image, and continue These violations indicate that the positions of the international community and human rights organizations are weak.
There are hundreds of cases more horrific than those mentioned in the report
Berwin Youssef highlighted the report of the Special Investigation Committee on Syria submitted to the Human Rights Organization, and said: “A few days ago, a report was issued by the Special Investigation Committee on Syria linked to the United Nations, on the one hand it can be viewed positively, but on the other hand the report was not sufficient. In actual terms, compared to the violations against women in the occupied areas of northern and eastern Syria, the documentation and evidence presented by the committee is only equivalent to a portion of the violations committed against women, as there are hundreds of the most horrific cases of those mentioned in the report.
She added: The committee could have shown the brutality of the Turkish occupation mercenaries that are practicing against women more closely, especially after the meetings and conferences that were held to put an end to all these violations against civilians and women in those occupied areas, but it was not sufficiently and desired in return for what is happening. Effectively from war crimes. ”
She said, “On a daily basis, these attacks and violations against women are taking place, and Turkey’s warning and holding them accountable is not enough to put an end to all these violations against women and humanity.”
Berwin Youssef appealed to international community organizations and organizations related to human rights to document all the attacks that are practiced against women and to be brought before the courts of the international community for trial, and to support the victims, such as the political martyr Hevrin Khalaf, who aimed to build a safe and stable Syria, and said: The basis of this event alone should have been Erdogan’s fate of imprisonment a year ago, not to mention other than these inhuman violations, such as the mother’s civil creed that sought only to bring peace.
