The talks of the members of the Manbij Intellectual Union, came on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day.
Hajar Nassif, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in the city of Manbij, blessed International Women’s Day for the world’s women in general, and women in Manbij in particular. She said that this day is considered a cornerstone of women, and through it her personality emerged, and she was freed from slavery, after she was bound throughout the ages under the ruling regimes.
She pointed out that “women participated in all forms of life politically and socially, and became political and cultured.”
“On this day, we look at women as the founders of society, where they have delivered their voice to the United Nations and the world,” Hajar added.
Rola Othman, a member of the Union of Intellectuals, also pointed out that this day is important for women by virtue of what was previously exposed by society and the ruling regimes. Therefore, on the 8th of March, moral motivation for all women to achieve more achievements, and highlight her role in all areas of life.
She said: “The educated woman’s role in educating women who are still suffering from violence, and seeking their exit from this cochlear imposed on them, is highlighted.”
And she concluded, she stated that women should strive, resist, follow the path of martyrs, and make an effort to develop themselves.
