January 9 marks the seventh anniversary of the martyrdom of the struggler Sakina Janciz and her companions, who were assassinated by the Turkish intelligence agency in the French capital, Paris. Accordingly, Kongra Star Coordination in Rojava issued a statement of public opinion.
Kongra Star Coordination confirmed that martyrdom of Sakina Cansiz and her companions was a continuation of the international plot in October 9 that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The text of the statement reads:
in January 9, 2013, Turkish intelligence in Paris killed three Kurdish revolutionaries, namely Sara (Sakina Cansiz), Rojin (Fidan Dogan), and Ronahi (Laila Şaylemez).
Comrade Sakina was known as a leading and revolutionary woman by all women of the world, and had a great influence on democratic forces; that is why she was targeted by the conspiratorial forces.
Besides, the aim of the attack was to undermine the gains of ideological resistance and the revolution of women, as well as to undermine the freedom revolution by destroying the will of women. In the aftermath of January 9 plot against Sakina Cansiz and her companions.
In January 5, 2016, the Turkish state killed three revolutionary women and politicians from northern Kurdistan, Sevi Demir, Fatima Awyar, and Pakiza Nair, in similar brutal ways.
In the face of this treacherous international conspiracy, the status and will of women rose, and democratic peoples in these regions expanded the struggle for freedom, and the global revolution of women.
Comrade Sakina Cansiz was an example and role model in the Rojava revolution, and she has played a prominent role in the movement and history of women around the world, as a woman fighting and campaigning for equality.
Despite all the achievements, and the struggle for freedom and equality revolution, the avant-garde women are always targeted.
In order to undermine and eradicate the global revolution of women, comrade Sakina was assassinated; the same fate was repeated during the occupation of the Turkish state through the assassination of comrades Hevrin Khalaf, the mother Aqidah Othman, and Amara Rinas, crystal clear, this is denunciation of the role and leadership of the free woman. Because the dominant and authoritarian man lives in great fear of the power and organization of women, therefore the ideology of women’s liberation is the solution to all the problems of life and the prevention of war and escalation.
Kongra Star Coordination commemorates the martyrdom of our comrade Sakina Cansiz and her companions Fidan Dogan, Laila Şaylemez, Sevi Demir, Fatima Awyar, Pakiza Nair, Hevrin Khalaf, Amara Rinas, Mother Aqidah Uthman, and denounce the October 9 plot.
We will imitate the revolutionary militant and pioneer of the Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Movement, as the free identity of women in the world, and we will follow her goals and path, her life has always been a war for freedom! And we will continue this struggle for freedom and make it universal. Being an ideological leader for the emancipation of women, she lives in the hearts of all free women.
In the name of the women’s movement at Kongra Star Coordination, we condemn once again this tragic and treacherous day and say that organizing and building a democratic and free life will be our revenge for them.
