Elham Ahmed: US congressmen stressed the necessity to send UN Forces

The co-chair of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, called on the United States to impose an air embargo on northern and eastern Syria and stop the Turkish attack.

Ilham Ahmed told ANHA after a press conference with Democratic and Republican lawmakers in the US Congress, including Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Democrat Chris Van Hollen, that the congressmen called for the dispatch of UN forces between the SDF and Turkey.

Ilham Ahmed said the congressmen she met stressed the need to impose an air embargo and tough sanctions on Turkey to force it to stop ethnic cleansing of the Kurdish people and end the process of demographic change in Syrian territories.
